What Not To Miss When Visiting Bangkok For The First Time

If you are soon going to be visiting Bangkok for the first time, there are many things that you should make sure that you get to experience when you visit the city. There are many iconic things to see and do in the Big Mango, that no trip is complete without experiencing. Below are some of the most popular things to see and do that all first-time visitors should experience when they visit Bangkok for the first time.

A Ride In A Tuk Tuk

You will see Tuk Tuks all over Thailand, and these three-wheeled vehicles are a big attraction for many visitors, especially children. Although they can be expensive, especially for tourists, they are still an excellent experience and convenient way to get around Bangkok, unless you are stuck behind a vehicle belching out black smoke.

An Authentic Thai Massage

You may have had many massages before, but an authentic Thai massage should not be missed when visiting Bangkok for the first time. When you are looking for a Thai massage, Sukhumvit and other areas of the city have a plethora of different massage parlours. It does not matter where you go in Thailand, there will be a massage parlour close by, as it is an intrinsic part of Thai life and culture.

Visit A Floating Market

Bangkok was once known as the Venice of the east many years ago, along with other nicknames. The city has an abundance of canals which were used to navigate around, and many of them are still in use today. Although there is not as much need for these waterways anymore, you can step back in time and experience the old way of life when you visit a floating market in Bangkok and enjoy shopping from a boat.

Visit A Ladyboy Cabaret Show

Another thing that Bangkok is known for all over the world is ladyboys, and you can experience one of the many cabaret shows featuring attractive looking ladyboys. You will find these types of shows all over Thailand, and they are not just a tourist attraction, with many locals enjoying the traditional Thai singing and dancing.

Delicious Thai Food

Bangkok has a fantastic reputation for the food that is on offer, and you do not need to visit fancy restaurants to try some incredible dishes. Thailand is well known for its street food vendors that serve up a wide variety of delicious Thai foods and sell these on the roadside. Some even have tables and chairs where you can sit down and enjoy your meal, or you can take your food and eat it while you wander around a night market.
